The Village of Aberdeen has a local income tax of 1% on wages earned by residents living inside Aberdeen regardless of where the work is located, on non-residents working inside the Village of Aberdeen and on the net profits of businesses and rental property located inside Aberdeen. Income from social security, retirement, disability and similar non-employment sources is not subject to the Aberdeen Income Tax.
Non-residents working inside Aberdeen who do not have Abredeen tax withheld by their employer are required to pay the Aberdeen tax to the Income Tax Bureau.
Annual tax returns are due by April 15 for residents and businesses subject to the Aberdeen income tax.
